Ford raises car sales in Russia by 7% to 4,049 units in April

MOSCOW, May 10 (PRIME) -- Ford increased Russian sales by 7% on the year to 4,049 vehicles in April, Ford Sollers, a joint venture with local car producer Sollers, said in a statement on Wednesday.

Sales of Ford Explorer jumped 90% to 203 vehicles, of Ford Kuga soared 80% to 928, and of Ford EcoSport went up 50% to 540. Sales of Ford Transit went up 22% on the year to 623 vehicles in April, the company said.

In January–April, Ford sold 13,429 cars in Russia.
